Our mission

Our mission

Giving you the support and space you need to say goodbye to your loved one in a way that celebrates the unique life that was theirs.

Bringing together the community that your loved one belonged to is one of the most meaningful ways of acknowledging their passing and reflecting on their life.

We’re here to genuinely serve your needs

Hope Funerals took care of the funeral arrangements for my wife in Feb 2024. We had advanced notice of my wife’s passing so Hope Funeral came out and we were able to plan exactly what my wife wished for about 11 months prior.

Initially it was to take care of her body and arrange cremation. Then a month later to carry out a Memorial Service at the Hope Presbyterian Church next to them and make the service available on streaming video for people who could not make the journey, both in NZ and overseas.

Hope Funerals did a wonderful job. We could not have wished for better. In every aspect of their services they were great to deal with and nothing was too much bother. Everyone who attended the Memorial Service, plus those who watched it streamed live, commented on how wonderful it was to have participated.

Thanks Hope Funerals for looking after my Lyn in such a professional and caring manner.

I would like to acknowledge the wonderful, professional service that Alistair and the Hope team gave me, when my husband passed away recently.
Being in the older age group one doesn’t necessarily know the process following the death of a loved one, but Hope Funeral Services were immediately available to answer all my many questions promptly, with sincerity and empathy making the pathway from cremation to the Celebration of Life service and essential documentation, a lot easier to process.
Thank you to everyone at Hope Funeral Services. I will be very pleased to give my full recommendation to family and friends

Thanks so much for handling our son’s funeral and being so sensitive to the needs of the family. We appreciated having his body at his home for a tangi style farewell before the final funeral service. Your venue was perfect for the large number who attended and the live-streaming watched by 70 people who couldn’t attend worked very well. Your caterer did an excellent job. Many thanks for helping us through our journey.

It is such a joy having you help is at this very sad time. To hand over to someone as capable and trustworthy as yourself is beyond words. As with our mother, you were so professional and your attention to detail is exquisite. Being the eldest and trying to get everyone through (both times) was a task beyond description! With your knowledge and know-how I knew we were in good hands. Thank you so much for everything I am so very very grateful. Thank you.
